The Dirty Devil flows south from the confluence of the Fremont River and Muddy Creek near Hanksville for more than 40 twisting, tortuous miles to join the Colorado just upstream from Hite. This is the northern limit of Glen Canyon proper. Above the Colorado-Dirty Devil confluence are Narrow Canyon and Cataract Canyon. Campsites on the Dirty Devil are mostly on slickrock.
